A pre-season match of sorts with a number of new and returning players, picking up their sticks and giving their all, for what ended up as an exciting game.

In the first half we settled in to our game but conceded 2 goals. Not a bad start considering our goal keeper had never played hockey before.

For the second half we had John Shaw coaching us on the side line, which was a treat. Our game improved and we gave South Berkshire ladies a tough time, taking some hits against goal but unlucky enough to not get it past the line.

So, a loss for Sonning, but a great game that we believe should have at least been a draw.

Well done ladies....let's take that commitment in to our next game. Louise
